Intel to launch ARC B770 graphics card this year – sources claim

High-end Battlemage to launch later this year – Insiders claim

Sources close to Intel have reportedly claimed the company plans to launch ARC B770 series graphics cards later this year. These GPUs will sit above Nvidia’s ARC “Battlemage” B570 and B580 graphics cards, bringing the company into the high-end GPU market.

Currently, the specifications of Intel’s higher-end Battlemage graphics cards are unknown. The GPU is due to launch in the second half of 2025, with some sources claiming that the GPU will launch in Q4.

Intel is working on an Arc B770 video card based on the Battlemage architecture. Tweakers was able to confirm this with multiple sources during Computex. So far, Intel has only released lower-positioned B570 and B580 video cards with this architecture.

Sources close to Intel confirm the existence of the Arc B770 video card. According to them, the introduction is planned for the second half of this year. The card is expected to appear in the fourth quarter, although the planning can of course still change.

Tweakers

Intel has previously responded “Stay Tuned” to Twitter/X posts about the company’s rumoured ARC B770 graphics card. However, Intel has confirmed that these statements teased the company’s new ARC Pro graphics card. To say the least, that was incredibly poor messaging from Intel Graphics.

Given the specifications of Intel’s 12GB ARC B580 GPU, it’s probable that the company’s “Big Battlemage” GPU would feature 16GB of GDDR6 memory or more. Intel’s ARC B580 is considered an RTX 4060 Ti competitor, which could mean that Intel’s new GPU could compete with Nvidia’s RTX 5070 or RTX 4070 Ti. If that is the case, Nvidia may soon feel more strain in the mid-high-end GPU market.
