Intel’s XeSS 3 Multi-Frame Generation tech is coming to the ARC B580 next month
Intel’s XeSS 3 tech is coming to more GPUs next month
Alongside its Panther Lake mobile CPUs (review here), Intel launched its first GPU driver to support its XeSS 3 Multi-Frame Generation (MFG) technology. This enabled XeSS MFG support on Panther Lake’s Xe3-powered graphics chip. Now, Intel has confirmed that XeSS 3 and Multi-Frame Generation will be coming to its ARC B580 graphics card next month.
Intel has confirmed to Tom’s Guide via email that the Intel Arc B580 is officially getting XeSS 3 with Multi-Frame Generation (MFG) next month.
With multi-frame generation, Intel can deliver smoother framerates by using AI-generated frames. Up to 4x frame generation is available, greatly improving image clarity. With XeSS 3, Multi-Frame Generation has come to integrated graphics for the first time. Next month, Intel’s ARC B580 will get XeSS MFG support. The same will likely be true for all ARC B-series GPUs.
Intel has previously confirmed that it plans to bring XeSS 3 to all of its GPUs with XMX units. Furthermore, Intel also plans to bring XeSS 3 support for its “older Xe1 parts”. This is a unprecidented level of hardware support for multi-frame generation. Note that only Nvidia’s newest GPUs, the RTX 50 series, support DLSS Multi-Frame Generation.
XeSS 3 supports Arc GPUs with XMX units, the Arc A family, Core Ultra 200 with Xe2 graphics, and the next Arc B with Xe3. Intel also plans support for older Xe1 parts. That move brings many frame generation to more than one hardware era.
