MSI bundles SSD with sub-MSRP RTX 5060 Ti 8GB GPUs to encourage sales

MSI bundles 500GB SSD with its 8GB RTX 5060 Ti 8GB Ventus 2x GPUs

Nvidia’s 8GB GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB launched with a UK MSRP of £349. Now, these GPUs are available at lower prices through several brands and several UK retailers. At Overclockers UK, MSI has gone one step further by bundling a 500GB SPATIUM M450 PCIe 4.0 SSD with its RTX 5060 Ti 8GB, which is also available at sub-MSRP pricing.

MSI values its bundled SSD at £39.95. If that is discounted from MSI’s RTX 5060 Ti 8GB Ventus 2x pricing, the GPU would be around £301. That makes it the cheapest RTX 5060 Ti GPU in the UK. That said, it should be noted that 8GB GPUs can have performance issues in many newer games.

It is clear that retailers and GPU manufacturers are trying to increase the value proposition of Nvidia’s 8GB RTX 5060 Ti graphics cards. This implies that these GPUs are not selling well. If they were selling well, bundles like this wouldn’t need to exist. Furthermore, manufacturers wouldn’t need to sell their products at prices below Nvidia’s MSRP.
