MSI pushes its OLED monitors to the next level at Computex
MSI delivers an OLED speed boost at Computex 2025
Earlier today, we visited MSI’s Computex booth to see everything they had to show us. To say the least, there is a lot to cover. In this article, we will be looking at the latest OLED gaming monitors from MSI. We already have articles on MSI’s new PCIe 5.0 SSDs, retro-themed graphics cards, and other high-end GPUs.
MSI’s OLED 2.0 after a 3-year burn-in test
To start, MSI showed us its long-running OLED Care 2.0 stress test. This test has been running for three years and proves that MSI’s anti-burn-in mitigations are effective. This monitor still runs as normal with no noticeable burn-in. Beyond that, MSI has added more anti-burn-in technologies to their monitors after this test started. Today, MSI’s new OLED monitors ship with OLED Care 3.0.
MSI showcases its first 500Hz OLED gaming monitor, the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50
MSI’s new MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 is the fastest OLED screen in its monitor lineup. It supports a maximum refresh rate of 500Hz, a resolution of 1440p and a response time of 0.03ms. This screen has been given a VESA ClearMR 21000 and DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, validating its clear motion characteristics and strong support for deep blacks and HDR.
This screen’s 500Hz support comes into its own with esports titles. Its high refresh rate support and OLED characteristics deliver minimum motion blur and high levels of screen clarity, making details easier to spot. This gives gamers a competitive advantage in esports titles.
Thanks to MSI’s OLED care 3 tech and AI sensor, this monitor turns itself off when not being viewed. This further minimises burn-in and delivers power savings. That means this screen will not be burning in while you are having a break, going to the loo, or making a cup of tea. It also supports DisplayPort 2.1 with full 80 Gbps bandwidth support.
Sadly, we currently have no pricing or availability information for this monitor. We expect it to become available later this year.
MSI MPG 322URX QD-OLED
For fans of 4K, MSI has their MPG 322URX QD-OLED monitor. We reviewed this screen earlier this year, and it looks great. It supports resolutions up to 4K with a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz and sports a DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. It’s a fast 4K screen with the image quality you would expect from a modern OLED screen. This monitor is already available to purchase, and you can read our review if you want to learn more.
Fast OLED at a reasonable price – Meet the MSI MAG 272QPW QD-OLED X28
MSI’s MAG 272QPW X28 is a QD-OLED screen that aims to make high refresh rate OLED gaming more affordable. With an asking price of $599, it is a lot more affordable than many other OLED screens, and with its refresh rate of 280Hz, it is more than fast enough for most gamers.
With its resolution of 1440p, this screen strikes a strong balance between resolution and refresh rate. After all, while 4K 240Hz screens are nice, good luck playing most games at 4K 240 FPS. High refresh rate gaming is a lot more feasible at 1440p, especially if you can’t afford ultra-high-end graphics cards.
Overall, we are impressed by MSI’s OLED offerings. We are also happy to see that MSI’s OLED Care technology is working as intended. Burn-in was once a problem that caused many PC users to avoid OLED monitors. Now, there isn’t much to fear.
