New Intel ARC GPU packaging spotted, hinting at new GPU launch

Intel ARC B770 incoming? New GPU packaging spotted!

It appears that Intel is preparing to launch a new ARC Battlemage graphics card. Packaging for Intel G31 and C32 graphics cards has been spotted by leakers. The last time leaks like this happened, Intel’s ARC B580 was 2.5 months away from its launch.

Intel’s B31 (BMG-B31) GPU is the codename for the company’s higher-end ARC Battlemage graphics card. This GPU is reportedly Intel’s ARC B770 graphics card. This GPU will give PC gamers a higher-end alternative to the Intel ARC B580.

If this leak is correct, Intel could launch its ARC B770 graphics card before the end of 2025. Currently, the performance of this GPU is unknown. Though the GPU is expected to support PCIe 5.0 connectivity and feature performance levels that are competitive with Nvidia’s RTX 5070 and AMD’s RX 9070.

With AMD and Nvidia having already launched new high-end GPUs this year, Intel will face stiff competition. If Intel wants to sell a large volume of GPUs, it needs strong performance and attractive pricing.

Rumour has it that Nvidia is already working on RTX 50 SUPER series GPUs. If that is the case, Intel needs to consider today’s competition and potential GPU refreshes from AMD and Nvidia. Furthermore, they can’t rely on more VRAM being a selling point, given the RTX 50 SUPER series’ leaked specifications.
