New Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti specifications leak, revealing a monstrous number of CUDA cores
These specifications should be taken with a grain of salt, though it is worth noting that these specifications are more believable than the GDDR6X-based specifications which were revealed last week. Right now, GDDR6X memory has not been revealed by any DRAM manufacturer, making it possible that the memory type simply doesn’t exist. Â
According to the specifications sheet below, Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti features 12GB of GDDR6 memory at 18 Gbps speeds, offering gamers 863 GB/s of memory bandwidth. That represents a 40% increase over what’s possible on Nvidia’s RTX 2080 Ti, which is more than enough to deliver a generational leap in performance.Â
Nvidia’s RTX 3080 Ti allegedly features a 320 TDP and offers boost frequencies of 2200 MHz, which also represents a significant boost over what Nvidia’s RTX 20 series can achieve. This should allow Nvidia to deliver more performance with their next-generation offerings, especially when combined with higher CUDA core counts and architectural enhancements.
As we have said before, take this leak with a grain of salt, as while GDDR6 memory is more believable than GDDR6X, leaks like this are relatively easy to fabricate. These specifications also go against the reports of Igor’s Lab, who claim to have confirmed that there is no 12GB Ampere graphics card.Â
