Nvidia confirms May 19th launch date for its RTX 5060 8GB graphics card

Nvidia’s RTX 5060 will become available on May 19th

Nvidia has officially confirmed that its RTX 5060 8GB graphics card will become available on May 19th. At launch, the GPU will be available on desktops and laptops as a standalone graphics card.

Note that, unlike the RTX 5060 Ti, the RTX 5060 will only be available as an 8GB GPU. No 16GB variant will be available. However, thanks to the addition of GDDR7 memory and more CUDA cores, Nvidia’s RTX 5060 will be much more performant than its predecessor. Nvidia’s RTX 4060 had 3072 CUDA cores, while the RTX 5060 has 3,840. That’s a 25% increase in CUDA core count.

The timing of this release is odd, given that it almost perfectly coincides with Computex 2025. Many of the most prominent PC/hardware reviewers will be travelling to Taiwan for the event, making it awkward to review new products.

UK pricing remains a mystery

Nvidia’s RTX 5060 will have an MSRP of $299 in the US. Sadly, Nvidia has yet to reveal the UK MSRP for its new graphics card. This is likely due to recent exchange rate fluctuations. The US dollar has dropped significantly in value since the start of 2025. At today’s exchange rate, Nvidia’s RTX 5060 should cost around £269 (including VAT). We expect Nvidia to officially reveal UK pricing for its RTX 5060 closer to launch.
