Nvidia confirms that there will be “no new GPUs” at CES 2026

Don’t expect to see new GeForce RTX GPUs at CES 2026

Nvidia’s Official GeForce Twitter/X account has confirmed that the company will not be revealing “no new GPUs” at CES 2026. However, Nvidia will be hosting a “GeForce On” community update stream on January 5th at 9 PM PT. This event will focus on “the latest features, games, apps, and partner products”.

If you were expecting Nvidia to announce new RTX 50 SUPER series GPUs at CES 2026, prepare to be disappointed. Nvidia’s focus this year is on software. That said, there will likely be some new RTX 50 series GPU models shown at CES by Nvidia’s partners. MSI has already unveiled its RTX 5090 Lightning GPU.

In terms of software, Nvidia could unveil several updates. We could see updates to DLSS, Nvidia Reflex, and RTX Remix. For partner products, we could see new G-Sync displays and other complementary products. We could also see new games that will utilise Nvidia’s RTX technologies.

There were longstanding rumours that Nvidia would unveil new “RTX 50 SUPER” series GPUs in early 2026. However, recent demand spikes within the memory market have reportedly thwarted those plans. High-end DRAM products are now incredibly expensive, so an RTX 50 SUPER series with larger GDDR7 frame buffers is no longer economical. Nvidia has not confirmed that there will be “no new GPUs” at CES 2026, which means that their RTX GPU lineup remains unchanged as we enter 2026.
