Nvidia issues new HotFix Driver for its RTX 50 series GPUs

Nvidia addresses more RTX 50 series issues with their latest GeForce HotFix driver

Nvidia has just released GeForce HotFix version 572.75, addressing issues that users of their RTX 50 series graphics cards are facing. This includes fixes for GPU crashes that result in black screens.

Alongside new crash fixes, this driver also allows overclocked RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs to run at “full speeds” after a system reboot. Based on this fix, overclockers had their GPUs run at lower than expected speeds after system reboots. This driver will allow overclockers to get the most of their newest GPUs, and retain that performance after system reboots.

GeForce Hotfix Display Driver version 572.75 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 572.70.

Since this driver focuses on RTX 50 series fixes, users of older GeForce GPUs won’t need to download this driver. The fixes included with this driver should be included with future mainstream Nvidia driver releases.

Note that this is not the first driver that said it addressed “Blackwell Black Screen” issues. Nvidia’s GeForce 572.60 driver claimed to address “Various black screen issues” on RTX 50 series GPUs. Hopefully, this driver will finally put Nvidia’s Blackwell Black Screen issues to bed for good.
