Nvidia reportedly sets May 19th launch date for its RTX 5060 GPU

Nvidia reportedly sets its RTX 5060 release date, with reviews likely landing on the same day

According to Videocardz, Nvidia plans to release its RTX 5060 graphics card on May 19th, with reviews landing on the same day. This prevents PC enthusiasts from seeing independent reviews of Nvidia’s new graphics card before its release.

Nvidia’s new 5060 GPU is a huge upgrade over its predecessor in several aspects. While both feature 8GB of VRAM, the RTX 5060 features more CUDA cores and memory bandwidth. Moving from 17 Gbps GDDR6 memory on the 4060 to 28 Gbps GDDR7 memory on the 5060 gives Nvidia’s new GPU 64.7% more memory bandwidth.

If we compare CUDA core count, Nvidia’s 5060 has 25% more cores than its last-generation counterpart. It also appears to feature a higher GPU boost clock speed. These changes should deliver significant performance gains for Nvidia’s new GPU. That said, gamers and reviewers will see its 8GB frame buffer as a negative.

Nvidia has already confirmed that its RTX 5060 GPU will launch with an MSRP of $299. Currently, Nvidia has not revealed a UK MSRP for this graphics card. Based on current exchange rates, Nvidia’s $299 5060 will cost around £270 in the UK (including VAT).
