Nvidia reveals their Star Wars Outlaws RTX 40 series game bundle

RTX 40 series GPU purchasers can now get a free copy of Star Wars Outlaws

Nvidia have today revealed their new “Join the Galaxy’s Most Wanted” bundle. This allows purchasers of high-end GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs to get a free copy of Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws.

Star Wars Outlaws will support all of Nvidia’s top technologies at launch. This will include DLSS 3.5, which means that the game will support Nvidia Reflex, DLSS Super Resolution, DLSS Frame Generation, and DLSS Ray Reconstruction. Beyond that, this game supports Nvidia’s RTXDI ray tracing technology, which promises to enhance the game’s lighting using the power of ray tracing.

This new game bundle applies to Nvidia’s RTX 4070 and above desktop GPUs, desktop systems, and laptops. If you purchase an applicable GPU from a participating retailer, you will be able to get a free copy of Star Wars Outlaws with your RTX GPU. This offer will be available until September 19th.

RTX 40 series GPU performance in Star Wars Outlaws

Below, Nvidia has released some performance data for Star Wars Outlaws at the game’s “Max Settings”. This is with the game’s demanding RTXDI lighting features enabled. Without DLSS, this game will only run at 33 FPS with an RTX 4090. With DLSS Super Resolution, Frame Generation, and Ray Reconstruction, this is boosted to 98 FPS. With these technologies, even an RTX 4070 SUPER will be able to run this game at over 60 FPS at 4K maxed out settings. Obviously, gamers can can use lower graphical settings as an alternative to DLSS.

At 1440p, Star Wars Outlaws is a lot easier to run. Even so, this game is still hugely demanding at max settings. Again, DLSS is a huge enabler for this game’s advanced graphical settings. That said, gamers should be able to boost their performance by simply lowering other game settings. By and large, Nvidia’s RTX-optimised ray tracing add-ons do not run well on non-RTX hardware.

Even at 1080p, Star Wars Outlaws is a demanding game. Again, lowered graphical settings will go a long way here. This is not a game that most PC gamers should “max out”. Moreover, this game is unlikely to run well on AMD GPUs when maxed out. Remember, this game makes heavy use of ray tracing when maxed out.
