Nvidia to launch its RTX 5090 D V2 GPU next month in China
Nvidia’s RTX 5090 D V2 is due to launch in China on August 12th
According to a new report from Benchlife, Nvidia has confirmed its plan to launch its RTX 5090 D V2 graphics card in China. The GPU is reportedly due to be released on August 12th, confirming that the GPU has not been cancelled due to easing US export restrictions.
For the most part, Nvidia’s RTX 5090 D V2 is the same as its original V1 counterpart. The only change is to its memory configuration. Instead of featuring 32GB of GDDR7 memory over a 512-bit memory bus, it features 24GB of GDDR6 memory across a 384-bit memory bus. This reduces Nvidia’s new GPU’s memory bandwidth and capacity, resulting in lower AI performance. The impact of this change on gaming performance is unknown.
The RTX 5090 D V2 features 21,760 CUDA cores and a TGP of 575W. This is identical to Nvidia’s older RTX 5090 models.

Currently, the pricing of Nvidia’s new RTX 5090 D V2 is unknown. Given its lowered memory specifications and performance, this graphics card may ship with lower pricing. However, Nvidia has no competition in this section of the GPU market, potentially allowing them to maintain their original RTX 5090 D’s pricing.
