Nvidia’s reportedly planning to launch their GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series at CES 2024

Are Nvidia planning to reveal their RTX 40 SUPER series at CES 2024?

If the latest rumours are to be believed, Nvidia has no plans to release next-generation RTX 50 series graphics cards until 2025. That means that Nvidia’s current-generation RTX 40 series of Ada-based graphics cards needs to remain competitive until then. To help achieve this, Nvidia are planning to launch RTX 40 SUPER series GPUs, and it looks like the company plans to reveal these new graphics cards at CES 2024.

Rumours surrounding Nvidia’s RTX 40 SUPER series of GPUs are not new. RTX 4070 SUPER and RTX 4080 SUPER GPUs are reportedly in the works .Additionally, HWiNFO have confirmed that they are working on RTX 4080 SUPER GPU support. Like their RTX 20 series counterparts, Nvidia’s RTX 40 SUPER series GPUs aim to deliver gamers more value for money. With these new GPUs, Nvidia hopes to strengthen the competitiveness of their GeForce RTX 40 series. These new GPUs will also pull media attention away from their rivals.

On X (Formerly Twitter), @Kopite7kimi, a well-known hardware leaker, has stated that they expect Nvidia to reveal their GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series of GPUs at CES 2024. Launching at CES makes a lot of sense, as CES 2024 will likely focus on AI. We are likely to see a lot of new laptop and desktop PCs that focus on AI. Nvidia make strong AI-focused graphics cards, making RTX 40 SUPER series GPUs ideal of these systems. It is possible that Nvidia will reveal both desktop and mobile RTX 40 SUPER series GPUs at CES.

Nvidia RTX 40 Super series performance expectations

Nvidia are expected to launch their GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series GPUs with more CUDA cores and more or faster memory than their predecessors. These changes should give Nvidia’s new GPUs a notable performance boost. Should Nvidia price these new RTX SUPER GPUs well, they should generate strong sales for Nvidia. Value for money is often seen as a weak point for Nvidia’s RTX 40 series, and Nvidia can address this with their planned RTX 40 SUPER GPU models.
