Our worst fears realised – ZOTAC warns of GPU price hikes and reduced supply
Zotac warns of an incoming GPU shortage – bad news for gamers
Zotac Korea has issued a warning to its customers, confirming that “memory supply will not be sufficient” and “GPU supply will also be reduced”. The company also claims that “some models will reportedly not be available for some time”. This mirrors recent reports that Nvidia plans to heavily reduce its GPU supply in early 2026. It also appears to confirm that Nvidia’s comments about its GPU supply being “constrained” are an understatement. Effectively, Zotac has told GPU purchasers to expect price hikes.
Recently, reports have surfaced that several Nvidia GPU models have been “effectively killed“. Zotac Korea’s comments appear to back up this claim. If recent rumours are true, GPUs like the RTX 5060, RTX 5060 16GB, and RTX 5070 Ti will have their supply heavily constrained. Other GPU models will be prioritised.
In their statement below, Zotac has confirmed that it has reduced its rewards points to 0% for new GPU purchases. The company aims to keep GPU prices as low as possible, as current market conditions are driving them higher.
Zotec Korea Co., Ltd.
Hello. This is Zotac Korea Taktak Mall.
We recently set rewards points to 2%.
I’m so sorry to be giving you another notice of your savings after only one month.
The current situation is so serious that it is worrisome for the future existence of graphics card manufacturers and distributors.
They announced that memory supply will not be sufficient and that GPU supply will also be reduced.
Additionally, some models will reportedly not be available for some time.
Personally, I’m also concerned that it may be impossible for Samsung to secure a smooth supply of GPUs beyond those it can manufacture.
Additionally, the recent prices are outrageous. The price increases for both the 5090 and the 5060 are staggering.
In this situation, Taktak Mall tries to supply products at the lowest possible price.
Accordingly, the savings will be temporarily reduced reward points to 0%.
I’m so sorry. I appreciate your understanding as this has been unavoidable.

If this statement from Zotac is correct, 2026 will be a bad year for PC gamers. Not only have memory and SSD prices skyrocketed, but GPU prices are already rising rapidly. We have already seen baseline Nvidia RTX 5090 GPU prices increase by over 55%. GPU pricing is likely to get worse as we move deeper into 2026.
