Radeon RX 9070 series reviews to go live on March 5, the RTX 5070’s launch day

AMD could overshadow Nvidia by releasing RX 9070 series reviews on the GeForce RTX 5070’s launch day

Rumour has it that AMD plans to launch their Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs on March 6th, the day after Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5070 release. Now, it looks like Radeon RX 9070 series reviews will be released on March 5, overshadowing Nvidia’s RTX 5070 launch. This was first reported by Videocardz, who claims that the media will be briefed on RDNA 4 next week.

AMD has confirmed that they plan to showcase RDNA 4 and their Radeon RX 9070 graphics cards on February 28th. This is where AMD will dive deep into their RDNA 4 graphics architecture, discuss the performance of their RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT GPUs, and likely reveal the pricing of their newest graphics cards.

If AMD can deliver strong performance and pricing, they could do reputational damage to Nvidia. This is especially true if they can launch FSR 4 (their new DLSS competitor) successfully.

With its RTX 50 series GPUs, Nvidia has failed to deliver on gamers’ expectations of value for money and power efficiency. Furthermore, it has released its RTX 50 series GPUs with insufficient retail stock. If AMD can deliver where Nvidia has failed, RDNA 4 could be a huge success for the company. If not, Nvidia will retain its dominant position within the GPU market.
