RTX 5060 Ti pricing reveals GPU market craziness
RTX 5070 pricing dips below high-end RTX 5060 Ti pricing on day-1
Today, we have some good news for PC builders. Even now, multiple hours after launch, PC gamers can buy Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti graphics card at MSRP pricing. This hasn’t been the case for any graphics card launch of 2025, and it is undoubtedly a welcome change.
Those interested in how Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti performs can see our review here. Overall, it is a solid upgrade, and we are glad that its pricing has remained steady at launch. However, it is clear that some pricing madness remains within the GPU market.
At Overclockers UK, today Nvidia’s RTX 5070 dropped below £500. Specifically, Gainward’s GeForce RTX 5070 Python III has become available for £499.99. This is the same price as many higher-end RTX 5060 Ti GPUs, and cheaper than some of this GPU’s most premium models. At Scan UK, they also have Zotac’s RTX 5070 Solid available for £529.98.

High-end RTX 5060 Ti pricing is a joke
Let’s face facts, even a baseline RTX 5070 will outperform even the best RTX 5060 Ti. With this in mind, the high-end RTX 5060 Ti pricing we have seen today can be called nothing short of maddening.
At both Overclockers UK and Scan, we have seen many RTX 5060 Ti 16GB models listed for £499.99 and above. The worst offender is ASUS’ RTX 5060 Ti TUF Gaming OC, which has been listed for £539.99 at Overclockers UK and £549.98 at Scan. These prices are sickening, and cannot be justified in a world where MSRP (and lower) RTX 5070 GPUs exist.

The GPU market needs to escape Lala Land
The good news is that Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti 16GB models remain available at MSRP. This is how the GPU market should be. The fact that being able to buy a GPU at Nvidia’s stated price is considered good news shows how far the GPU market has fallen. Regardless, there remains some pricing madness that needs to be purged. There is no world where a premium RTX 5060 Ti model should be worth more than a baseline RTX 5070. In performance terms, the RTX 5070 will win every time.
We aren’t against premium graphics cards. There are perks to having a higher-end cooling solution and a slight overclock. Even so, these benefits are often not worth the premiums that some companies are asking for. A “premium” RTX 5060 Ti 16GB shouldn’t cost more than £450. It shouldn’t cost £500+. That’s RTX 5070 pricing, and manufacturers should remember that.
