If you haven’t made the jump to next-gen yet then we have some good news for you. We are pleased to announce that from today the 500GB PS4 will be available across the SCEE region* from the new low price of €349.99/£299.99 (RRP).

*New RRP in the following markets (new price is not limited to these countries): Benelux, France, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain €349.99. Australia $479.95. New Zealand $569.95. UK £299.99. Austria and Germany €349.95. United Arab Emirates AED1399.

Pretty impressive. I don't think you can buy a (new) PC for that money that can outperform it.Quote

I don't think you could buy a wireless rechargable game pad for that much

Always nice to see prices coming down. Maybe Sony's lack of big name exclusives leading up to xmas has prompted this? Xbox has Halo and Tomb Raider (there still seems to be uncertainty regarding the nature of the Tomb Raider exclusive - timed or not). Or maybe Sony has some No Mans Sky news for us soon? I'm not feeling it for this year though, but can hope.Quote

That is exactly the reason why. Not to mention that Xbox is rumoured to drop their prices also soon. After all, Xmas is coming and Xbox has quite a number of exclusive titles on its way. Couple this with their xbox/PC game streaming,

I also noticed that Sony has reached out to a vendor to design their own version of Microsofts Kinect technology. But one major perk in their roadmap is the Sony VR coming soon.Quote
