AMD promises the “next generation of innovation” at CES 2025

Expect some big PC Gaming announcements at AMD’s CES 2025 Press Conference

AMD has confirmed that they will be hosting their CES 2025 keynote on January 6th 2025. There, AMD plans to “next generation of innovation across gaming, AI PC, and commercial.” The event was announced by Jack Huynh, AMD’s Senior Vice President and General Manager of their Computing and Graphics Group, who will be joining other AMD executives for this keynote.

Note that Gaming is mentioned first when Jack Huynh lists AMD’s planned reveals. AMD are due to reveal their RDNA 4-powered RX 8000 series GPUs at CES 2025. At this event, we will likely see new Ryzen AI Max CPUs (Strix Halo) and Ryzen PRO series processors.

AMD today announced that it will be hosting a press conference as a part of the official CES 2025 Media Days. The press conference will take place on Monday, Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. PST at the Mandalay Bay. AMD senior vice president and general manager of the Computing and Graphics Group Jack Huynh, along with other AMD executives will be joined by partners and customers to discuss how AMD is expanding its leadership across PCs and gaming, and highlight the breadth of the company’s high-performance computing and AI product portfolio. The keynote will be available to livestream on the AMD YouTube Channel, with replay available after the conclusion of the livestream event.

CES 2025 will be a big event for AMD. In 2025, AMD aims to gain more ground in the laptop market and grow their market share of the gaming GPU market. Furthermore, AMD aims to enhance its AI offerings. Simply put, AMD wants growth on all fronts, be it from CPU, gaming GPU, or AI products.

CES will be a pivotal time for AMD. This is when we will see if their new CPU and GPU products are strong enough to deliver the gains in its key markets.
