Bambu Lab teases its A2L 3D printer

Bambu Lab appears to be going large with its A2L 3D printer

On June 1st, Bambu Lab will be unveiling its new A2L 3D printer, promising “it’s a BIG one”. Sadly, the company has not revealed much about this new 3D printer, though their teaser does leave a few hints.

The “A2L” name suggests two things. The “L” alone suggests that this printer is “large”. This is further supported by the company’s “it’s a BIG one” messaging. Additionally, its “A2” name suggests the upcoming launch of a range of “A2” series printers that will replace the A1 and A1 Mini of “bed-slinger” style 3D printers. Based on this name, my guess is that this isn’t just an enlarged A1, it’s a larger, next-generation A1.

Bambu’s teaser also has two pens on show. Perhaps this new printer has a pen plotter attachment like the Bambu Lab H2 series of printers (see our Bambu Lab H2D review here). That would be a neat add-on for users. That said, I wouldn’t expect to see the H2’s other add-ons, like the laser and cutter elements. Neither of those elements is suitable for an unenclosed device.

Some have speculated that the A2L will use the same build plate as the H2S and a hot-end similar to the P2S. This allows Bambu Lab to reuse parts. Expect to hear everything you need to know about this printer on June 1st.
