Fanatec boosts its sim racing credentials with official Stream Deck Plugin

Fanatec delivers increased customisability with its official Stream Deck plugin

Devices like Elgato’s Stream Deck have become the centrepiece of many sim racing setups. Users can set dedicated hotkeys and control options to make setups easier to use and customise, even without official plugin support. Fanatec, with the help of Elgato, have released an official Stream Deck plugin for their products. This allows Stream Decks to be used as a customisation box.

Elgato’s Stream Deck can also be used as a telemetry display, showing race position, fuel levels, tyre temperatures, and more in supported games. With the Fanatec “Fine Tuning Menu”, players can also adjust hardware settings without pausing their gaming sessions.

Below is what Corsair has to say about their new plugin.

Fanatec, a brand of CORSAIR, has launched an official Stream Deck plugin, available free of charge on the Elgato Marketplace.

Stream Deck is a well‑established accessory for sim racing, not just for streamers but also functioning as a customizable button box for any enthusiast racer. With the official Fanatec plugin, Stream Deck integrates directly with Fanatec hardware and supported simulations.

Developed internally by Fanatec in close collaboration with the Elgato team, the plugin supports all Stream Deck models, with dedicated profiles available for Stream Deck XL and Stream Deck +.

Once enabled, Stream Deck functions as a telemetry display, showing race position, fuel level, tire temperatures (where supported), flag warnings, and more. The plugin offers access to the Fanatec Tuning Menu, meaning that Stream Deck buttons and dials can adjust hardware settings without pausing the session, similar to the controls found on Fanatec steering wheels.

The plugin is the result of a natural collaboration within the CORSAIR family of brands, bringing together Fanatec’s sim racing hardware expertise with Elgato’s widely adopted Stream Deck platform. The intuitive integration gives sim racers more control and more information while on track.

Corsair

Corsair acquired Fanatec in late 2024 and has owned Elgato since 2018. Fanatec’s Stream Deck plugin was a collaboration between several brands and highlights the strengths of Corsair’s broad product portfolio. The Stream Deck was already a popular addition to many sim racing setups. Now, it is a must-have device for users of Fanatec’s racing hardware.
