SOVOL teases a “new frontier” for 3D printing with its planned multi-toolhead printer
SOVOL teases a “Step Forward” for its 3D printing technology
SOVOL plans to open up a “new frontier for your creativity”, teasing a new 3D printer design that appears to have at least 6 toolheads. Last month, SOVOL teased a 3D printer that promised to be both “multi-colour” and “multi-material”. This newly unveiled printer appears to be the same new model, but with a fully enclosed interior.
On social media, SOVOL has asked its fanbase to guess the build volume of this 3D printer. Based on this, it’s likely that this 3D printer has a larger build volume than the company’s SV08 (350 x 350 x 330 mm). If this is true, SOVOL’s new 3D printer will have a larger build volume than the Bambu Lab H2D and H2C. This would also make this 3D printer much larger than the popular Snapmaker U1, which also appears to have fewer toolheads.
SOVOL prides itself on the customisability of its systems. 3rd parties, like Co Print 3D, have already created multi-colour 3D printer upgrades for SOVOL printers. It will be interesting to see how SOVOL’s new multi-material solution works and how much their 3D printer will cost compared with competing systems.
The world of multi-toolhead/nozzle 3D printing is about to become a lot more competitive.
