Apex Legends is coming to Steam and Switch this Fall with Crossplay support

EA has confirmed that its popular Battle Royale, Apex Legends, will be coming to Steam and Switch this fall. Furthermore, Apex Legends will be gaining crossplay support between Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Switch this fall.

Some reports have claimed that Apex legends Steam version will run without a background Origin client, unlike many of EA’s recent Steam releases. That said, an EA account may be required to run the game with crossplay enabled on PC.

Earlier today, EA added several of their former exclusive titles to Steam, such as The Sims 4, Titanfall 2 and more. These new additions to Steam are detailed further here.

EA plans to integrate cross-play into more of their current and future titles, such as Need for Speed Heat and Star Wars Squadrons.
