Assassin’s Creed Empire has been listed with a Q4 2017 release date

Assassin’s Creed Empire has been listed at a swiss retailer with a Q4 2017 release date, though the listing did originally state a release date in October 2017.

Recent leaks have suggested that Assassin’s Creed: Empire will be based in Egypt, though at this time the exact time period is unknown. It has been rumoured that this game was originally set to release in 2016, with Ubisoft delaying the game to 2017 after 2014 disappointing launch of Assassin’s Creed Unity.

Hopefully, this extra time has given the developers a chance to make some large changes to the game and better polish the experience. If this game is going to release in 2017 it will likely be announced at E3 2017, where an almost finished version of the game will be shown.

The last main series Assassin’s Creed game to be released was Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, which was released in October 2015, with many complaining about how similar the game was to previous releases, showing a major case of franchise fatigue from both consumers and members of the gaming press.
