Assetto Corsa Competizione will leave Steam Early Access on May 29th
The game itself has been built using Unreal Engine 4, which acts as a versatile baseline which Kunos has used to create a racing game with “the highest level of accuracy ever achieved.” Before the game released on Early Access, Kunos showcased a build of the game with a wide array of ray traced effects, which include Raytraced shadows, reflections and Ambient Occlusion, at Gamescom 2018. At this time it is unknown whether or not these features will be available within the game at launch.Â
With Competizione, Kunos promises to deliver “the most accurate circuits” thanks to the game’s use of LaserScan technology, which has enabled the game’s developers to create a perfect replica of each of their game’s real-world circuits.Â
Assetto Corsa: Competizione will release with both single player and multiplayer modes alongside a career mode, which is designed to introduce players to the game with driving tests and other challenges. The game’s Championship mode will allow drivers to play through the entire Blancpain GT series in the shoes of one of the event’s official drivers.Â
