Battlefield 5 Chapter 1: Overture Update has been delayed

EA/DICE have confirmed that Battlefield V’s “Chapter 1: Overture Update” will not be released today, thanks to the discovery of an issue/bug with the update.

At this time it is unknown how long the update will be delayed for, but it means that gamers will have to wait a while longer before they can play the game’s 4th and final War Story, “The Last Tiger”, of benefit from the update’s improvements to DirectX Raytracing performance.

Nvidia has claimed that the update will deliver up to a 50% performance boost to the game’s DXR/RTX effects, making the game a lot more playable with Raytracing enabled, even on weaker RTX series graphics cards like the RTX 2070.
