When it comes to PC, gamers expect to hit certain performance milestones in games, with one of the most frequently asked questions when being, “can (insert new game here) run at 60FPS on my PC?”. Recently EA released a chart which stated that PC gamers would require a GTX 1060 or RX 480 to play Mass Effect Andromeda at 1080p 30FPS

Recently EA released a chart which stated that PC gamers would require a GTX 1060 or RX 480 to play Mass Effect Andromeda at 1080p 30FPS, leaving many to assume that the game is overly demanding or suffers from performance issues on the platform.

Since then EA has clarified that these FPS targets are minimums, with the game being expected to run well above these framerates in all but the most demanding of in-game scenarios, with producer Michael Gamble now stating that Nvidia’s new GTX 1080Ti will be able to handle 4K 60+FPS gameplay at Ultra settings.

This is a good sign for the game’s final release, hopefully meaning that most PC gamers will be able to play this new title with steady framerates on modern hardware.

It has also been confirmed that the game will be receiving a 2GB day-0 patch when the early access version of the game releases on Origin access on March 16th, which hopefully alongside game-ready/optimised driver from AMD and Nvidia will deliver great performance when the game officially releases.
