Brink is now available for free on Steam

Today Splash Damage and Bethesda Softworks have made Brink “Free to Play” on Steam, with the game lacking any updates to add any microtransactions into the game.

Brink originally released in 2011, with a design that aimed to seamlessly blend single-player and multiplayer cooperative and competitive multiplayer content. Players could play the single player campaign as either opposing faction, showing two sides to Brink’s story.
Players fought each other as members of the Resistance or Security forces in the floating city known as the Ark. This game also features an innovative SMART (Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain) movement system, which allowed players to easily travel quickly across the game world.
