Bungie details Destiny 2’s upcoming PC Open Beta

 

The PS4 and Xbox One betas for Destiny 2 are over, leaving PC as the only platform that lacks any form of pre-release beta/demo content. Now Bungie, the developer behind the game, has revealed that the game’s PC beta will take place at the end of August.

Destiny 2’s PC beta will include access to the game’s opening mission “Homecoming” as well as access to a three-player Co-Operative Strike called “The Inverted Spire and the game 4 vs 4 competitive multiplayer modes. The trailer below also confirms that the game will support an unlocked framerate and 4K resolutions on PC. 

This will be an open beta, though those who pre-order the game will be able to play it in a day early, giving them some additional time to play the game. Below are the start dates for Destiny 2’s PC beta. 

  

Destiny 2 PC Beta

Early Access: August 28
Open Beta: August 29
Beta Ends: August 31

Begin Destiny 2’s epic cinematic story campaign, fight below the surface of Nessus in the three-player cooperative Strike Inverted Spire, and enter the Crucible to put your competitive multiplayer skills to the test in two 4v4 modes.

Destiny 2 will release on PC on Blizzard’s Battle.net client on October 24th.
