Crysis Remastered’s latest retailer details the game’s Switch features
On Nintendo Switch, Crysis Remastered will release on July 23rd and weight in at 6.2GB, offering players high -quality textures, SVOGI Global Illumination, and “improved destructible environment and vegetation bending features”.Â
With the Switch release of Crysis, Gyro aiming has also been confirmed as a feature for the game, which is great news for users of this Switch-specific control method. The game’s Switch version will also feature dynamic lighting, a dynamic resolution system and operate at 720p 30 FPS (based on the footage below). At this time it is unclear what resolution the game will run at in portable mode.Â
Earlier this month, Crytek confirmed that Crysis Remastered will be releasing on Nintendo’s Switch console on July 23rd, despite the company’s prior announcement that the game was delayed on all platforms for further polish.Â

As it stands, it looks like Nintendo’s Switch console doesn’t have much room for further graphical improvements, making the game release-ready. Now, only the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Crysis Remastered have been delayed, each of which is said to be receiving further graphical enhancements prior to the game’s launch.Â
Crytek has only stated that the game will only be delayed by “a few weeks” on non-Switch platforms, allowing the game’s developers to spend more time “polishing the game”. With Crysis Remastered, Crytek plans to maintain its “PC- and console-breaking standard”, and wants to spend some more time adding more improvements to the game. Â
This delay follows the leak of a Crysis Remastered first gameplay trailer online, which was harshly criticised by much of the Crysis fanbase. To many, the game’s graphical improvements were not enough to satisfy gamers, though it is worth noting that this leaked trailer sported a low resolution, which limited the detail of the trailer. Even so, this backlash has force Crytek to rework Crysis Remastered, which means that PC and console gamers can expect even better graphics from the title when it releases later this year.Â
