Devil May Cry 5 has become Capcom’s 2nd most popular PC launch of all time
As of today, Devil May Cry 5 has become Capcom’s second best PC launch of all time, with the top spot going to Monster Hunter World, which had an incredibly successful launch in 2018, despite coming to the PC platform long after the game’s console release.Â
As Capcom’s second major release of 2019, Devil May Cry 5 sets the stage for a fantastic year for Capcom, offering a quality PC version and achieving high sales volumes as a result.Â
Earlier today, Devil May Cry 5 had over 82,000 concurrent players on Steam, with the game having a simultaneous player peak of 89,000, which is more than enough to bring the game into Steam’s top ten most charts, which is a big deal for a PC game that lacks a dedicated multiplayer component. Â
This is also the second big 2019 release of Capcoms that uses the company’s RE engine, which enabled the game’s gorgeous visuals and stellar performance. We plan to go into more details regarding this game’s performance in our upcoming game analysis.Â

Capcom has started to focus more of its efforts on PC gaming, which has resulted in increased sales and further profits for the company, showcasing the benefits of high-quality PC releases. Hopefully, Capcom will continue to place this level of effort into their PC releases and develop more titles on their versatile RE engine.Â
