Devil May Cry 5 release date and gameplay released at Gamescom

At Gamescom 2018, Capcom has officially revealed Devil May Cry 5’s release date, alongside a fifteen-minute gameplay demo. The footage of this demo comes via IGN, showcasing Nero, a protagonist from Devil May Cry 4, confront both low-class demons and boss monsters alike with his trusty Red Queen blade and his Blue Rose revolver.

Devil May Cry 5 will release on March 8th 2019, acting as a continuation of the original series. This game is not a sequel to Ninja Theory’s standalone DMC reboot. The game will be based on the graphically impressive RE Engine, which was first used to create Resident Evil 7, allowing Devil May Cry 5 to offer visuals that are far beyond any other game in the series.

The footage below showcases steady 60FPS gameplay, something which allows the series’ ultra-fast gameplay appear smooth and feel responsive. Capcom has stated that they are aiming for a consistent 60FPS experience on all platforms, be it PC, Xbox One or PS4.
