DiRT Rally 2.0 will gain support for VR this Summer

VR may be far from mainstream, but there is one section of the gaming community that has embraced it more than any other, and that is the world of sim racing, where VR support is often demanded by a vocal section of the racing playerbase, especially on PC. 

Codemasters plans to release DiRT Rally 2.0 on February 26th, where the game’s lack of VR support will no doubt act as a sticking point for some players, though VR enthusiasts need not worry, as the company has announced that Oculus support will be coming to the game this summer. 

Sadly, Codemasters has not confirmed whether or not the game will support competing VR platforms, such as Windows Mixed Reality headset range, Valve’s SteamVR displays, or Sony’s PlayStation VR platform. Right now only Oculus is mentioned, with the company picturing DiRT Rally 2.0’s boxed PC version beside an Oculus Rift VR headset.
