EA releases a scene from Star Wars Battlefront II’s single-player campaign

Unlike its predecessor, Star Wars Battlefront II will feature a single-player campaign, delivering a story that predominantly takes place between the events of Star Wars Episodes VI and VII. This places the game’s protagonist, Iden Versio, in an era where the Empire falls and the New Republic takes form.
EA has released a short cutscene from the game, showing Iden speak with her father, Garrick Versio (an Imperial Admiral from the Imperial Security Bureau), as he shows her an Imperial Sentinal droid that conveys a message from the late Emperor himself.
The Emperor then reveals a little information on “Operation Cinder”, which some Star Wars fans will know is part of a wider plan known as “Contingency”. This will only be familiar to those who are up to date on recent Star Wars literature.

Iden Versio faces the reality of the Emperor’s demise and receives her first assignment in this cutscene from Star Wars Battlefront II’s thrilling single-player campaign.
