EA releases Battlefield 5’s Gamescom 2018 Devastation of Rotterdam trailer

EA has released their latest trailer for Battlefield V, showcasing the destroyed city of Rotterdam and both tanks and infantry duke it out for domination, moving away from the icy Fjord map that was included in previous trailers.

The trailer showcases what appears to be multiplayer gameplay as well as what could be a tease of the game’s planned Battle Royale mode, showcasing a circle of flames which encircles players into an increasingly compact section of a map, a mechanic which is common within the emerging genre.

So far, Pre-orders have been reportedly poor for Battlefield V, with many series elites blaming the change on Battlefield’s movement away from historical accuracy and towards arcade-style gameplay.

Battlefield V is set to release on October 19th on PS4, Xbox One and PC, shipping with traditional multiplayer modes, a single player “War Stories” mode and a Battle Royale mode.
