EA reveals A Way Out’s PC system requirements
A Way Out is a game which is set to deliver a unique co-op only gaming experience, where two players, either offline or online, control one of the game’s two protagonists.Â
These PC requirements come one day before the game’s official PC launch, though thankfully the game’s hardware needs are relatively low, at least on the Nvidia side of the spectrum.Â
One oddity with this release is an apparent lack of keyboard/mouse support, with the game’s requirements explicitly requesting an Xbox or PlayStation compatible gamepad, with no mention of mouse/keyboard. Given the two-player nature of this game, gamepad support was expected to take centre stage, though a lack of keyboard/mouse support will be nonetheless disappointing. Â
For 720p Low settings, EA recommends that PC gamers have an Intel i3 2100 or an FX 6100 CPU or higher alongside 8GB of system memory and an HD7750 or a GTX 650 Ti GPU. The game will also take up 25GB of hard drive space.Â
Moving onto the game’s recommended PC setup, which should run the game at 1080p 60FPS, EA has listed an i5 3570K or a Ryzen 3 1300X or higher with 16GB of system memory and either an R9 290 or a GTX 960 GPU. The game’s recommended system requirements seem slanted towards Nvidia, as AMD’s R9 290 was pitted up against Nvidia’s GTX 970 at the time of its release.Â
EA has also provided a selection of settings for 1080p 60FPS gameplay when using a system that is based on their recommended system requirements.Â
