EA reveals release date for Battlefield V’s Firestorm “Royale” mode

Battlefield V’s long-awaited Firestorm mode finally has a release date, letting us know precisely when EA’s latest Battle Royale offering will hit PC and console platforms.

Firestorm launches on March 25th, offering the usual trappings of the genre with 64 players and all the usual trappings of Battlefield series games, such as a variety of in-game vehicles, environmental destruction and squad-based combat.

In Firestorm, single-use perks will also be available, such as V1 Rocket strikes, wich vehicles ranging from tractor-towed anti-tank weaponry to standard tinks, amphibious transports and helicopters.

Leaked footage for the mode has confirmed that players can expect to be air-dropped into the map, where players must start scavenging for weapons, vehicles and other materials. Survival will be based on both luck and skill, as the game’s most deadly weapons will be rare, and all players will drop onto the may without any armaments, making weapon acquisition crucial.
