This video gives players a rundown on what is currently known about the alien Thargoid race, confirming that the Thargoids have attacked humanity and that an arms race is ongoing to help mankind fight back against the technologically superior alien race.

During this time the war against the Thargoids will develop further and new weapons and gameplay opportunities will open up to players.

At the end of this livestream Frontier Developments released their first Cinematic Short for their 2.4 update, showcasing the first weapons test that the Aegis group conducted against the Thargoid threat using humanities latest weapons tech.
