Epic Games releases Paragon Assets for free
On April 26th, Paragon will go offline, but Epic Games are not willing to let their work go to waste. The company plans to release an extensive collection of the game’s assets on the Unreal Engine Marketplace for free, giving UE4 Developers access to 20 “AAA-quality” characters with their respective skins, animations, VFX and dialogue and over 1,500 environmental assets/components. Â
Developers will be able to freely use these assets in their UE4 projects, allowing users to use them as tools to learn more about the engine or make use of their artwork high-quality artwork directly or modified. Epic Games values these assets at $12 million in total, with plans to release more Paragon Assets packs in Spring and Summer 2018. Â
  Epic Games today announced that Unreal Engine 4 developers now have access to a full array of assets from Paragon, the companyâs high-end multiplayer online battle arena game. The assets, built at a cost of over $12 million, include 20 AAA-quality characters, with their respective skins, animations, VFX and dialogue, along with over 1,500 environment components from Paragon. This content is now available free of charge in the Unreal Engine Marketplace, where developers may download Paragon packs to use in their own UE4 projects. Â

With some other developers would be more than willing to forget about their failures, Epic has decided to take what they have created and share it with their community, allowing them to learn by using their creations or make use of their discarded content themselves in future products.Â
