Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition will have a free demo version
This demo version will allow players to test the game before they buy it, allowing PC gamers to play through the first chapter of the game. Final Fantasy XV’s free demo should give PC gamers enough time to immerse themselves in the game and see how well it runs on their system’s hardware. Hopefully, this free demo will be free of the issues that plagued the title#s standalone benchmark utility.
During this announcement, Tabata also confirmed that the game would have two storage capacity requirements on PC, a 100GB size for the standard game and a 155GB version which offer full 4K textures. This advanced 155GB option should only be used by players with high-resolution displays and graphics cards with a lot of VRAM.
Below is a list of the additional content that Final Fantasy’s Windows Edition includes over its original console offering;
• An all-new dungeon – Insomnia City Ruins: Expanded Map
• New features such as first-person mode, new gear, and new bosses.
• Armiger Unleashed – after you collect all 13 royal arms, a more action-oriented mode of the Armiger is unlocked
• Royal Vessel – the boat from FFXV is now a controllable vehicle. The same body of water (between Cape Caem and Altissia) can now be freely explored.
• All season pass content – Episode Gladiolus, Episode Prompto, Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades, and Episode Ignis.
• Over a dozen pieces of DLC, including weapons, Regalia car skins, and item sets.
• The critically acclaimed game – FINAL FANTASY XV.
• Supports native 4K (maximum 8K) resolution and HDR10
• Mod support
• High-resolution compatible display required for 4K/8K
• Windows 10 Creators Update compatible display required for HDR10
PC users who purchase Final Fantasy on Steam before May 1st will receive a free Gordon Freeman themed skin and a crowbar in-game.
