Fortnite’s new 1.8.1 patch offers performance boosts on all platforms
Fortnite’s latest patch is focusing on optimisation, bringing with it increases in the game’s stability, performance and balance. This patch is set to go live today, with the patches release note stating that the game will feature improved point light shadow rendering, optimisations to character animations and implementing fixes to various game hitches and potential server lags.
To put things simply, this update is designed to give players of Fortnite and Fortnite Battle Royale a better, smoother gameplay experience, though the game also features a large list of balance, IU and other game improvements, which are all available to look at in the game’s official patch notes.
This patch will be auto-downloaded on all platforms, coming via the Epic launcher on PC.
