Halo Wars 2 now supports Multi-GPU setups on Windows 10
Halo Wars 2 has received a new update on the Windows 10 Store, fixing several bugs and minor issues with the game while also introducing some balance changes.
Deep inside the patch notes of this update comes Multi-GPU support on Windows 10, allowing gamers to utilise the power to dual-GPU setups to increase game performance. With this update, the developers recommend that PC gamers use Microsoft’s Windows 10 Creators update and the latest GPU drivers in order to achieve optimal performance.
Below are some of Halo Wars 2’s June 28th Patch notes, which specifically relate to Multi-GPU support.

– Multi-GPU support is now enabled on Windows 10- – Up to two GPUs are supported
- – This implementation of Multi GPU synchronizes data between the two GPUs. Running at 4K resolution and higher-quality graphics options may exceed the bandwidth available to synchronize the cards, which may cause in-game performance issues.
- – Updating to the Creators Update of Windows 10 is strongly recommended
– Make sure you’re on the latest graphics driver
This is the second major game Windows 10 Store Exclusive game to receive Multi-GPU support, which bodes well for Microsoft’s future game releases. Hopefully, in time Microsoft first party released will release on PC with this kind of support on Day-1, which would be great whenever we see titles like Forza Motorsport 7, Crackdown 3 and State of Decay 2 make it to PC.
Microsoft has come a long way since the early days of the Windows 10 Store and UWP games, though the company still has to go a long way before they receive acceptance from the majority of PC gamers.
