The effort that has been taken to create this mod is simply breathtaking, from the game’s graphical improvements, the addition of new enemy types and the sheer attention to detail that has been applied to every mission within this project. SPV 3 will contain remastered versions of every mission within Halo: Combat Evolved and also included a reimagined version of The Silent Cartographer. Â
Graphically the SPV3 team has taken Halo Combat Evolved far beyond what is offered by Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, with the game featuring newly designed models, texture and the addition of many advanced graphical effects like light bloom, AA and several other post process effects.Â
One other key addition is animation interpolation, which is an important factor when playing Halo: Combat Evolved at higher framerates. The original game was designed to run at 30FPS and in-game animations were also designed with 30FPS in mind. Now thanks to the effort of the Halo: CE modding community the game now officially supports higher
Now thanks to the effort of the Halo: CE modding community the game now officially supports higher framerates with interpolated models, allowing the game to support refresh rates that are higher than 30 without seeming choppy.Â
From the outset Halo SP3 has also been designed to run on modern systems, with support for a wide range of 4:3, 16:9, 16:10 and even Ultra-wide 21:9 screen resolutions, with a newly designed HUD that can accommodate 4K resolutions and beyond.Â

All that players will need to play SPV3 is a game key for Halo: Combat Evolved, with the SPV3 team providing a one-click installer that will completely set up the game for new users.  Copies of Halo: Combat Evolved can be purchased for as little as £4 on websites like CEX in the UK, which should include a CD key for the game.Â
This mod is the cumulation of over a decade of development and the work of over 100 modders. To put it simply this is one of the best Halo experiences available on PC today.Â
