Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is coming to VR later this month

Ninja Theory, who was recently acquired by Microsoft, has announced that Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will be coming to both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive on July 31st, bringing the full game into VR for the first time.

The VR version of Hallblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will be available for free for all owners of the game on Steam, with Ninja Theory recommending that VR players have a GTX 1080 or equivalent graphics card to run the game in VR. Owners of Hellblade on GOG will not be able to access the game’s VR mode.

This new version of the game is designed to increase immersion, maintaining the game’s third-person viewpoint while delivering full 3D visuals that will build upon the game’s already immersive audio. We recommend that all players of Hellblade do so with headphones on.

Today we’re super excited to announce Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice VR Edition!

The VR Edition of Hellblade features Senua’s full journey from the original game plus additional experimental game modes and fully customisable comfort options.

You can experience Hellblade in VR from July 31st on Oculus Rift or HTC Vive and the VR Edition will be available for free to those that own or purchase the original Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice on Steam.
