It doesn't work - DLSS SR support is not functional in Star War Jedi: Survivor

Star Wars Jedi’ Survivor’s DLSS support does not work as intended, as DLSS Super Resolution doesn’t work

Earlier this week, Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was updated to support Nvidia’s DLSS 3 technology, adding support for both DLSS Super Resolution and DLSS Frame Generation to the game. After conducting some tests on the game’s DLSS support, we can confirm that the game’s DLSS  Super Resolution implementation does not currently work correctly, as the option currently does nothing.

While DLSS Super Resolution does not work, DLSS Frame Generation does work as intended, allowing the game to run at higher framerates with less juddering on supported hardware. With DLSS Super Resolution being non-functional, Nvidia RTX 40 series users will need to combine DLSS Frame Generation with AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution technology to achieve larger framerate boosts.

Hopefully, Respawn Entertainment will address these DLSS Super Resolution issues with a new patch for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor soon, as while AMD’;s FidelityFX Super Resolution feature does work on Nvidia graphics cards, DLSS Super Resolution is known to deliver better visual results in most games.

So far, Respawn Entertainment and EA have not commented on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s DLSS issues, though we expect a new patch to arrive soon to address this issue.
