Kunos releases Assetto Corsa Competizione’s Early Access PC system requirements

Assetto Corsa Competizione, the official game of the Blancpain GT Series, is set to release on Steam Early Access on September 12th, offering “next-generation graphics and visual effects” using the Unreal Engine 4.    

Some PC gamers will remember the presence of Assetto Corsa Competizione at Nvidia’s Geforce Gaming Celebration, where Nvidia’s Jensen Huang confirmed that the game would feature real-time ray tracing. RTX support will be added to Assetto Corsa Competizione in a post-early-access-launch update, with Kunos showcasing Ray Traced Reflections, Shadows and Ambient Occlusion at Gamescom. At this time it is not known how Assetto Corsa Competizione will utilise Ray Tracing when RTX support is added to the game.   

Kunos Simulazioni has released Competizione’s preliminary PC system requirements, which are set to change before the game officially releases in Q1 2019. These system requirements showcase a lot of stability within Assetto Corsa Competizione, with minimum system requirements that range to graphics cards like AMD’s HD 7770 and Nvidia’s GTX 460. 

On the CPU side, Kunis states that the game will require a minimum of a quad-core Intel i5-4460 or an 8-core AMD FX-8120, with the studio recommending an i5-8600K or a Ryzen 5 2600X. The game will also require a minimum of 4GB of system memory, though the studio recommends 16GB.
