Machine Games releases a beta patch for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

Machine Games has released a new Beta Patch for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, a patch that is designed to hotfix some of the game’s issues on PC from distribution issues in certain countries, the functionality of Valve’s Steam overlay and the use of Async Compute on AMD’s GPU hardware (when using the company’s 17.10.3 drivers).

This hotfix also temporarily disables Async Compute on Nvidia’s GTX 1080 Ti GPU, at least until Nvidia releases a new driver that will fix the functionality of this feature.

Below are the full patch notes for this optional update:

– Resolved an issue affecting the deployment of full game files in Japan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia

– Re-enabled Async compute for AMD users (requires AMD driver version 17.10.3, linked here)

– Temporarily disabled Async compute on 1080ti until driver fix is in

– Re-enabled Steam Overlay

– Added driver version detection and dialog
