Mass Effect Andromeda will not have a season pass and will launch first on EA Origin Access
Mass Effect Andromeda will not have a season passÂ
Â
It has been confirmed that Mass Effect Andromeda will not have a season pass on PC or on consoles, unlike other recent EA games like Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2. Â
Season passes allow gamers to buy DLC for a game before the game launches, with the hopes that the season pass will offer more value than each piece of DLC separately.
While this business model can be attractive for consumers, it is something that has increasingly become increasingly anti-consumer, with some developers delivering a lot less DLC than consumers expect or simply do not provide buyers with any information on their planned DLC content when purchasing an expansion pass.Â
 Â
Mass Effect Andromeda will be released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on March 21st in the US and March 23rd in the EU. At this time, PC system requirements are not available for the game.Â
