Metro Exodus’ Latest Patch Reportedly Sharpens DLSS and Optimises RTX Ray Tracing

The second major patch for Metro Exodus has released, delivering both stability fixes and general optimisations for the title. With this update, which is build version 1.0.1.1 on the Epic Games Store, 4A Games are bringing to the table improved DLSS support, which boasts improvements to image sharpness, and optimisations for “lower spec PCs”, changes which should help gamers who use low-end hardware.

In the world of Ray Tracing, 4A Games has also released several bug fixes and have done a little bit of optimisation work, though sadly 4A Games’ release notes do not mention any specific performance changes. Game performance may be better with this patch, though at this time it is unknown how much game performance has improved.

We will have a brief look at this game patch and report back is we notice any major differences in the game’s RTX performance or DLSS image quality.

Patch Notes:

– General Stability fixes
– Optimization for Lower spec PC’s
– DLSS fixes and improvements to sharpness
– Fixed wallmark vfx for DX11
– RTX fixes and optimization
– Added bugtrap support for reporting crashes to 4A Games
– Benchmark tool fixes
