Microsoft releases detailed Forza Motorsport 7’s PC system requirements

Microsoft has released Forza Motorsport 7’s PC system requirements, confirming that the game will be easier to run than Forza Horizons 3.

Forza Motorsport 7 will be targeting a steady 60FPS framerate on both Xbox One and Xbox One X, which is considerably higher than the 30FPS framerate target of Forza Horizon 3, which means that the game will run at almost 2x the speed on the same Xbox hardware (not accounting for potential changes in resolution etc).

With Forza Motorsport 7 targeting this higher framerate on consoles, it is understandable that the game’s PC requirements will also drop, given the fact that PC gamers can choose their own target framerates and resolution. Combine this with the recent engine changes from Turn 10, including the CPU performance updates to Forza Horizon 3 and the PC version is set to be a real performer.

It has also been confirmed that the PC version of the game will support 21:9 resolutions, up to 8x MSAA and 16x anisotropic filtering. The game will also contain support for the following control methods.

  • – Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller
  • – Microsoft Xbox One Controller
  • – Microsoft Xbox One Elite Controller
  • – Microsoft Xbox One S/X Controller
