Microsoft releases Forza Motorsport 7’s PC system requirements

Microsoft has released Forza Motorsport 7’s PC system requirements on the Windows 10 Store, confirming that the game will be easier to run than Forza Horizons 3.

This is great news for PC gamers, especially those that want to run the game at high framerates on the PC platform. This is due to the fact that the game targets framerates of 60FPS on Xbox One and Xbox One X, which is double the framerate target of Forza Horizons 3.
With Forza Motorsport 7 targeting this higher framerate on consoles, it is understandable that the game’s PC requirements will also drop, given the fact that PC gamers can choose their own target framerates and resolution.

Below are the full PC system requirements for Forza Motorsport 7, with the game’s developers recommending either a GTX 670 to a GTX 1050 Ti, which is significantly lower than the GTX 1060 and RX 480 that were recommended for Forza Horizons 3.

Lada (minimum)

  • OS: Windows 10 x64.
  • DirectX: DirectX 12 API, Hardware Feature Level 11.
  • Memory: 8 GB.
  • Video Memory: 2 GB.
  • Processor: Intel i5-750 2.67 GHz.
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GT 740 or NVIDIA GTX 650 or AMD R7 250X.
  • Integrated Keyboard and Mouse

Lamborghini (recommended)

  • OS: Windows 10 x64.
  • DirectX: DirectX 12 API, Hardware Feature Level 11.
  • Memory: 8 GB.
  • Video Memory: 4 GB.
  • Processor: Intel i5 4460 3.2GHz.
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 670 or NVIDIA 1050 Ti.
  • Integrated Keyboard and Mouse

Forza Motorsport 7 will release on October 3rd on Xbox One and Windows 10, with the Xbox One X update releasing with the Xbox One X on November 7th.
